Firdaus Sani
RE-TELLING INGENIOUS STORIES OF OUR ANCESTORS THROUGH FOOD
Firdaus Sani is the founder of Orang Laut SG, a movement dedicated to reclaiming the narratives of Singapore’s Southern Islands. Pulau Semakau, as it stands today, is a landfill. But to his family, this beautiful island was once home.
Through the knowledge inherited from his grandparents, he shares his unique coastal traditions and cuisine from his mother’s kitchen. More importantly, it is a sneak peek into the stories and lives of the Orang Laut/Pulau community, the indigenous people of Singapore.

Orion & Tara
Founder of Rambooty Farm
REIMAGINING UNLOVED SPACES IN OUR NEIGHBOURHOODSWith garden tools and crayons, Orion and Tara are determined to transform an unloved and overgrown patch of land in front of their house.
Motivated and funded by the adults of the household, the children are working tirelessly on their farm - jumping straight to work after school, often still in their school uniforms. Perhaps this farm can also spur their neighbours to rethink unloved spaces around our neighbourhoods with a childlike wonder.
